[Accidental Video] 17

[The video feed clicks on at an odd angle. Clearly this is an accidental broadcast. From the ground, a pair of legs stalk by and a young teenager by the looks of the build comes into view further away into the image. He has short spikey black hair and is clutching a clearly-too-large yukata around him, glaring about with angry red eyes.]

W-Where am I? HELLO?

OI! I need to get back home, my mother is waiting for me!

[Growls then starts as a scarecrow walks by him.] Wh-WHAT is going on here?!

[Grips the sword in his hands a little tighter and scoots back out of the video's feed.

(( OOC: Guess who found his first card? Kurogane's about 12 or 13 now. That's right, chibi!Kuro tiemz! ))

An abomination, I guess. A freak of nature even. Something along those lines. There isn't a better way to put it~.

[Mouth snaps shut, he didn't mean to imply that or anything.]

... I... I guess it doesn't matter anyway as long as you aren't a demon. [Fidgets a little, feeling maybe a little guilty.]

Can you show me the way? And why did you call it my onsen before?

[Even Schro considers himself as an abomination. He doesn't feel offended at all.]

And I call it your onsen, because it belongs to you. Well, you and the magician. It might be hard to believe, but your older self lives there.

Older... self? [Trails along beside Schrodinger.]

What are you even talking about? I don't know any magicians either.

A-Are you sure you aren't talking about my father? People say we look very much alike...

[Schrodinger turns to Kurogane.]

You do know a magician,just not at your age.

And your father? Isn't it obvious that you're far away from home?

At my age? [Staring at Schro again uncertainly.]

Of course I'm far from home, though I'm not sure why I can understand everyone either if this isn't Nihon. Is it... because this is a dream? That's what someone told me.

Yes, at your age or time. You have yet to experience certain things or meet certain people.

And maybe you can understand people because of the dream or because that device you have. The dreamberry. [Schrodinger motioned to the device Kurogane has.]

That's what this thing is called? What a weird name. [He frowns at it and pokes at the buttons and the screen lights up again finally, startling him.] What is it?

[Schrodinger wanted to say phone, but he doubted that Kurogane would know what that was.]

It's a tool that people use to communicate. The dreamberry is useful in other ways like showing maps of Somarium, showing the time, having a record of everyone person here and even storing money.

[Looks at the Dreamberry in awe.] It can do all that? [He doesn't bother asking how, he doubted it would make any sense at all.]

So... this person at the onsen. I know them? You say I meet them when I'm "older?"

What's he like?

What's Fay like? [Schrodinger had to think about this for awhile.]

Well, Fay's very enthusiastic,speaks very well,he's also very welcoming and understanding.He seems to like your culture a lot and is eager to learn. And he's flamboyant!

[Kurogane noticed a lot of 'very's in there... He wasn't sure what to make of that exactly.]

Flamboyant? What do you mean? Like he's really loud and excited all the time? [He guesses that would go with the "very enthusiastic" wouldn't?]

More like colorful~ [Schrodinger couldn't help snickering at a mental image of Fay wearing those rainbow pants Magnus gave him.]

But he's a good person. You seem to only surround yourself with those type of people anyway.

[Colorful...? That sounded a bit like that other guy who'd called and made it sound like he knew him too. It was not exactly inspiring confidence, but the cat-boy's further words made Kurogane pause a moment, blinking at his back before he caught up to him again.]

... Well... That's good. I wouldn't want to think I don't. [Even if it was weird to think he meant himself older somehow.] You seem it too.

Like a good person? [Schrodinger smirked.] I'm afraid that's wrong. I'm actually one of the bad ones. Your older self just tolerates me or that's what he wishes to think, anyway.

[He turns to Kurogane as he makes his last point.] But I must admit you become a very interesting person when you grow up.

[Eyes Schrodinger uneasily now. One of the bad ones?] I... I wouldn't just put up with you if you're a bad person. I'm sure of it.

... What do you mean "interesting?"

Well, you would know better than I. You are "you", after all.

I mean interesting as in you're not boring. I have a good times talking to your older self and even spending time with him. But even more so, I like his perspective, the way he views things.

I know it for sure. [Says firmly and lets the subject rest at that.]

His perspective...? [It seems a strange thing to the younger boy to "like" about a person, but the more he mulls that over the more he understood. After all, already even he'd seen some very different people than he was used to. They were bound to look at things differently, right?]

[Schrodinger then stopped in his tracks, since they were directly in front of a building.]

Here we are.The Oume Onsen.This is where you live.

[Kurogane looks over at the building, finally noticing they'd arrived. It is thankfully familiar looking. Not precisely like something from home, but close enough that it puts the child more at ease.

However, this person he supposedly lived with and owned this place with was inside and Kurogane swallows hard, doing his best to mask any uncertainty.]

... Thank you. [Says rather stiffly.] For bringing me here and explaining things. Not that it's that easy to believe you, but... I don't have much else to rely on here.

Your welcome!~ And I wouldn't believe a mysterious boy with cat ears that appeared out of thin air either. But taking the risk didn't turn out that bad, did it?

[Grins] But don't worry. I'm expecting lots of milk from your older counterpart, so it's not like I did this out of kindness or anything.

[The younger Kurogane, still have a few manners refrained from agreeing with Schrodinger thoroughly on the trusting thing.... but he had been right. It got him some answers, even if they were nigh impossible to believe ones.]

Lots of mi--? Gah! [Stumbles forward with the push and whirls around to watch the other boy's retreating back a few moments before turning back to the building with a hard swallow.

Time to find out more...]
